Having pets is one of the most adorable blessings mankind can ever have where they are treated as children and taught various tricks to entertain themselves and others, in the process one often ends up training these pets to mimic human behaviors and habits which are simply too amazing to handle it all by yourself. Well this was the case with this cute Capuchin monkey from Tohoku Safari Park in Japan who apparently was too thirsty on a sunny summer day and wanted something to quench his thirst and saying so brought some coins from his owner to buy himself some juice. The next thing you know is the little Capuchin monkey inserting coins into a vending machine and banging on his favorite grape juice option with an adorable smile on his face. Apparently monkeys mimicking humans is nothing new, but what is surprising is the fact that they fit in with technology so well.

Monkeys and Humans share drinking habits

Talking about drinking, monkey kingdoms fetish for drinking comes from their primate counterparts that is us humans or one can say we share a common ground for celebrations. (◐.̃◐) Even monkeys have similar addiction to alcohol just like humans with only difference that in monkey kingdom those who drink are considered better leaders unlike their human counterparts. Monkeys and humans drinking population is so similar that the alcohol drinkers and teetotalers percentage is almost the same. In the video you can clearly see the Capuchin monkey wearing diapers going for grape juice while relentlessly banging the vending machine into submission for his teetotaler diet and drank it like a boss after his owner opened the grape juice bottle for him. ♥

Jackie Chan's Drunken Monkey Kung Fu Fighting

Apparently the drinking among monkeys is so addictive that they are often found stealing drinks from bars and other public places where alcohol is served. Talking of drunk monkeys, I think drinking makes them super powerful and agile as a result other monkeys respect them, hmm no wonder Disney often portrays ape leaders with a glass of wine :D. Well drunk monkeys are not just popular among monkey kingdom but also among us humans as well and that is none other than the popular Kung Fu fighting style the drunken monkey pose used by Jackie Chan and other popular martial artists in movies. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞ ☜(゚ヮ゚☜) So next time you find yourself in a tricky situation at a bar just go for the drunken monkey pose and hopefully the fellow apes and troublemakers will drink to that and give you a free ride! and in return probably buy a monkey a beer as a thank you gift. :)

When hot weather hits and turning on the oven is something I definitely don't want to do (no air conditioner in this abode). Having leftovers makes for a quick and easy refreshing lunch.
We've been trying to eat healthier lately and to make a lifestyle change to keep it that way.  Having a winter of eating out too much has made my man and I feel kinda well, blah.
Juicing, smoothies and more trips to the market for tons of fruits and veggies is what we're aiming for this spring/summer.

Wednesday link love:

1. These hand pies totally have my heart.
2. I think this will be my next cook book purchase.
3. Had a mega craving for these again last night so of course I had to make them.
4. Totally need this tee.
5. Loving this (new to me) blog.

Once again I have collaberated with Natrel for a quick and easy left over weeknight dish. For the recipe and more photos check it out here.
